NOTIFICATION STATEMENT
It is the policy of the Pleasants County Board
of Education not to discriminate on the basis of sex,
race, color, religion, disability, age and national origin
in employment and in the administration of any of
its educational programs, activities or employment
policies as required by Title IX of the 1972 Education

excluded from the participation in, be denied the
benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any
program or activity of the Pleasants County Schools.

TITLE IX/SECTION 504
GRIEVANCE PROCESS
FOR
EMPLOYEES AND STUDENTS
Any employee or student of Pleasants County
Schools who believes he or she has been discriminated
against, denied a benefit, or excluded from participation,
in any district education program or activity solely on the
basis of sex, race, color, religion, age, national origin, or
his/her disability may file a complaint with the County
Title IX/504 Coordinator. The Coordinator shall cause
a review of a Title IX/504 complaint to be conducted
through the use of the appeal procedures developed
by the West Virginia Department of Education for
employees and students.
Copies of the appeal procedures and appropriate
forms are available from the State Superintendent of
Schools and the Pleasants County Board of Education.
